Strength Within

"What must I do to be like you?"
I asked a friend one day,
"To fight against the face of fear
When evil comes your way?"

Amused by my minute request,
I said "Don't get me wrong.
I stated that I wanted to be
Deeply passioned, strong."

He said...

"You must look deep to find, to seek,
Past all transgressive sin,
And you will see the way to be
A warrior from within."

I Dreamt of A Single Moment

I dreamt of an inspiring vision
When reality and fantasy became one
And hope would comfort my soul,
Where the flight of celestial angels
Sparkled like the sun
With their wings of golden splendour.

I dreamt of a wonderful haven
Where comfort held me tight
In affectionate feelings that wrapped around me
And where passive caress encompassed me,
Assuring me that everything would be alright.

I dreamt of a beautiful heaven
Where everything was in perfect bliss
And light would illuminate the darkest night,
Where hatred did not exist in a realm of luminescence;
Nothing else had mattered except the heart's desire.

I dreamt of a single moment
When love would hold me into a warm embrace
And cherished the whispers of a wishful heart,
Where a crestless wave of gentle sweetness
Had left me silently into peaceful sleep.
